xLearning via Stories
Although language is governed by human left brain, the story-telling skill is controlled by the right brain, which means story-telling skill is a talent, very creative and full of imagination. All kids like to listen to amazing stories. Stories can grab kids' attention to a very high level. Remember, no kids' attention in the first place, no learning output later on!

Global Elites Network Xpeed Learning Academy promotes all kids reading 1000 books a year, mostly by themselves, a significant number of which are stories. And even learning science, history and geography can tell a good story as well.

For example, Warren Buffett's investment canon can be told in an amazing story just as "MBA Case: How Tortoise Warren Buffett Wins Trader Hare", vitamin knowledge can be packed in a story just like "Vitamin Adventures of Don and Flip Game Book" and Columbus' discovery of America can be told in an exciting adventure journey, and so on and so forth.

Sometimes, telling a good story in a kids-interested way can grab kids' attention to an unbeatable heightened level. And modern neuroscience has figured out that a good story can activate many parts of the brain, making the brain much more active and thus leading to a much deeper memory impression than separate words.

A story is just like a container that can bring all those dull words to vivid life, making kids click with the story both in emotion and experience and therefore making them more engaged in the learning journey via the story-telling teaching method.

When kids click with a story, their brain is simulating the story scenes just like virtual reality. If one story scene is about Linsanity's playing basketball, kids' brain motor cortex has been activated as well just like they're playing basketball themselves. This level of students' involvement, engagement and participation can achieve what other teaching methods can't achieve.

All movies and shows are telling a story: the more the story involves the audience, the better the movie/show and the better the learning effect. Some good movies and shows can last for decades, such as Scooby Doo, Madagascar, Kung Fu Penda. Kids all love them and would like to read underlying storybooks and apps again and again. If parents were to force kids to read the same storybook 30~50 times, the learning efficacy would not be able to be compared to kids proactively reading the same storybook time and again.

Once kids like a story, with the associated pictures and animations, kids would love to read the same storybook again and again, so that they have met the forgetting curve to review back on schedule and learnt a lot words from the very story far deeper than reading the book just once. Now apps on iPad/iPhone or Android devices provide kids with an unprecedented interactive way of reading, listening and enjoying a story at a much cheaper price.

As kids listen to more amazing stories, they can develop their own story-telling skills. "Story Power" means the most powerful communicating or convincing power is from telling a clickable story. As kids practice more stories in classrooms of Global Elites Network Xpeed Learning Academy, their proficiency both in spoken and written language will also improve a lot.
